NuDYN SL membranes are human amnion membrane allografts.

INTENDED USES: NuDYN SL act as a physical barrier by providing a protective covering for acute and chronic wounds/ulcers such

as pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, partial and full-thickness wounds, chronic vascular ulcers, tunneled/undermined wounds, traumatic wounds,(abrasions, lacerations, partial thickness burns, skin tears), wound dehiscence, draining wounds, tunneled / undermined wounds, and surgical wounds such as podiatric, post-laser surgery, post-Moh's surgery, and donor sites/grafts.

CLAIMED BENEFITS: The NuDYN SL products are terminally sterilized, single use, dehydrated amniotic membrane allografts which are available in various sizes in square centimeters to cover and protect different sizes of wounds/ulcers. They are applied by a physician or other qualified healthcare professional to wounds/ulcers after the wound/ulcer beds are prepared with appropriate debridement. To prevent displacement, the products are fixated with the physician's or qualified healthcare professional's choice of fixation.The allografts will fully resorb and do not have to be removed from the wound/ulcer beds.

Based on national averages
Medicare payments for participating qualified health professionals (QHP) for services performed in their Offices (*) or at a Facility (** i.e., hospital outpatient department or ambulatory service center). Payments are nationally unadjusted average amounts, and do not account for differences in payment due to geographic variation. The allowed rate for non-participating physicians is set at 95% of the allowable for participating physicians. Non-participating physicians are subject to the limiting charge rules. The coinsurance is limited to 20% of the allowable fee.
When covered by the Medicare contractor, this manufacturer product is separately payable in a QHP office based on the Average Sales Price (ASP) as reported by the manufacturer on a quarterly basis.
