We use cookies to keep track of some types of information while you are using the Services. Cookies are small data files placed on your computer, and they allow us to do things like count the number of visitors, distinguish repeat visitors from new visitors, save user preferences and track user trends. You may set your browser to disable cookies, but allowing them will improve your user experience and may be necessary for you to use the full functionality of the Services. We use both session cookies, which do not persist after you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which are stored on your computer’s hard drive. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any PII.

We use certain third party web analytics services and those third party analytics services use cookies to help us analyze how users use our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by those third party providers on servers in the United States. This information is used for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for our use and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage. Our third party providers may also transfer this information to other third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties are subcontracted to process the information. These third party providers will not associate your IP address with any other data they hold. As stated above, you may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of the Services. By using the Site, you consent to the processing of data about you in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

We provide a referral service to enable you to tell a friend about our Services, in which case we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address and then send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to try our Services. We will store that information for the sole purpose of sending that one-time email and tracking the success of the referral service.

When you post to our Curbside Consult service, your username, institution and specialty will be displayed along with your post. The content of your post may include patient case information subject to HIPAA regulations, and as such, any personally identifiable information should be removed from text and images.  Posted information will be shared with our expert panel, and you can opt-out of publicly displaying your posted information.

Service includes a web-based communication tool that allows you to have video conversations with colleagues and patients. The peer-to-peer comunications are encrypted and no data relating to the communication is saved.

Your information will be treated as private and confidential by such service providers and not used for any other purpose than we authorize.

As we develop our business, we may buy or sell assets and, depending on the transaction, your PII may be one of the transferred assets. If this occurs, you will be notified if there are any material changes to the way your PII is collected or used.
