3M™ Kerramax Care™ Super-Absorbent Dressing is an alginate dressing
INTENDED USE: chronic and acute wounds. Moderately to highly exuding pressure ulcers, leg ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers
CLAIMED BENEFITS: Dressing is a super-absorbent primary or secondary dressing, suitable for chronic and acute wounds. Horizontal and vertical wicking layer. Super-absorbent core locks in exudate, bacteria and MMPs to reduce the risk of maceration and wound complications – even under compression. Stackable to increase absorption for very wet wounds.

- Medicare payments for participating qualified health professionals (QHP) for services performed in their Offices (*) or at a Facility (** i.e., hospital outpatient department or ambulatory service center). Indications
Suitable for use with moderately to highly exuding pressure ulcers, leg ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers
How to Apply
- Cleanse the wound according to local procedures.
- Select an appropriate dressing size. The dressing pad needs to overlap the edge of the wound. Do not cut the dressing
- Open the pack and lay the sterile pad on the wound. Either side of the sterile pad may be used. You may stack dressings for additional absorption
- Cover with a bandage or wrap to secure the dressing, refer to your local guidelines for further guidance
- Check the dressing at regular intervals and change according to the clinical condition of the wound, or when saturated
