SILVEDERMA cream is an antimicrobial agent for topical use.

INTENDED USES: Silver sulfadiazine is used in other skin conditions, such as leg ulcers, where infection may prevent healing and for the prophylaxis of infection in skin grafting. It is used for the prevention and treatment of Pseudomonas and Staphylococcus infections in all kinds of wounds and ulcers, especially burns.

CLAIMED BENEFITS: It is a sulfonamide that is used, in conjunction with debridement, as a 1% cream for the prevention and treatment of infection in severe burns.
