AmchoPlast is a minimally manipulated, dehydrated, human amnion/chorion membrane allograft. It is an allogeneic matrix cellular and tissue-based skin substitute for wound healing.
INTENDED USES: Intended for use as a protective barrier and cover that offers protection from the surrounding environment in repair and reconstruction procedures. It consists of a basement membrane and stromal matrix collagen layer. Chronic wounds: Diabetic foot ulcers, Pressure ulcers, Venous ulcers; Surgical Reconstruction: Surgical wounds, Soft tissue reconstruction, Donor sites; Traumatic Wounds: First and second degree burns, Cuts, Abrasions, Lacerations
CLAIMED BENEFITS: Low levels of HLA antigens and no immune rejection. Room Temperature Storage: Does not require refrigeration and can be stored in a clean and dry environment at ambient temperature. Under appropriate conditions the product has an expiry date of greater than 2 years. Can be used along with other wound treatment protocols such as Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) and hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO). Retained biological components.
