Algisite M Calcium Alginate Dressing is an alginate wound dressing.

INTENDED USES: Suitable for the treatment of pressure injuries or venous leg ulcers with moderate to heavy exudate, or to facilitate the control of minor bleeding.

CLAIMED BENEFITS: Helps to minimise the shedding of fibres while on the wound and on dressing removal. Absorbs exudate and forms a gel over the wound surface. Highly permeable, allowing liquid to evaporate6,10 and permitting gaseous exchange. Allows wound contraction, which may help reduce scarring.
