Aldanex Skin Protectant is a transparent, viscous, non-greasy, smooth and fragrance-free silicone-based barrier ointment.
INTENDED USES: Aldanex is indicated for: the treatment and prevention of skin damage caused by urine and/or faecal incontinence; The treatment and prevention of pressure ulcers up to category 2, intertrigo and diaper rash in babies and infants; Superficial lesions, maceration of peri-wound skin and maceration/friction around drains, tubes, catheters, tracheostomy and nasal cannula sites. Aldanex may also be used to help prevent fungal infection (mycosis), e.g. in diabetes patients suffering from such an infection between the toes. Aldanex can equally well be used in conjunction with antimycotics, in which case the fungicide must be applied first, and then covered with a thin coat of Aldanex Skin Protectant.
CLAIMED BENEFITS: Aldanex is pH-neutral, zinc free and adheres extremely well to both dry and moist skin. The product’s adhesive qualities allow Aldanex to maintain its protective barrier function against external influences for up to 12 hours
