INTENDED USES: exuding wounds such as Pressure ulcers, Leg and foot ulcers, Partial thickness burns, Surgical wounds, Donor sites, Chronic wounds, Oncology wounds. Exufiber is not intended for dry wounds or full thickness burns.
CLAIMED BENEFITS: Exufiber is a sterile, nonwoven dressing made from highly absorbent polyvinyl alcohol fibres. In contact with wound exudate, Exufiber transforms into a gel that facilitates moist wound healing and ease of removal during dressing changes. Exufiber Ag+ contains silver sulphate that is evenly distributed throughout the dressing. A rapid and sustained antimicrobial effect is initiated via contact with wound fluid. Antimicrobial action for up to 7 days (in vitro). Kills a broad range of pathogens including VRE, MRSA (in vitro), fungi.
OPTION: Exufiber Ag+ is available both as a sheet and ribbon as dressings.
