Therapeutic Moisturizers can be used to protect the skin around the wound and to prevent wounds in dry skin. Moisturizing creams can have substances that help moisturize the skin, such as urea, alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and dimethicone.
Therapeutic moisturizers can be purchased from pharmacies or medical supply stores. Please refer to table "Other Stores" below for suggestions on where to purchase (if there are no vendors listed and you would like to have information on suppliers, please email info@woundreference.com)
