Hydrophilic Wound Dressing is a wound dressing.
INTENDED USES: Provides filler for the wounds. Provides a moist, mildly acidic environment conducive to wound healing Pressure ulcers I-IV, surgical incisions, tissue trauma, partial thickness wounds, thermal burns, diabetic and venous stasis ulcers.
CLAIMED FEATURES: With Zinc, Vitamins A and B6, Calcium and Magnesium. Formulated with a patented zinc-nutrient formulation. Recommended Secondary Dressings: Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing depending on the amount of exudate and frequency of dressing change. Non-Cytotoxic, Non-Sterile.

Wound fillers are dressing materials placed into open wounds to eliminate dead space, absorb exudate, or maintain a moist wound surface. Wound fillers come in hydrated forms (e.g., pastes, gels), dry forms (e.g., powder, granules, beads), or other forms such as rope, spiral, pillows, etc.

If you have coverage through Medicare Part B, you may be eligible to have this product covered by Medicare. You will need a written order prescribed by a provider enrolled in Medicare, so that you can purchase this product at a Durable Medical Equipment store that carries this type of product and accepts Medicare. You will need to pay deductibles and co-payment. The actual co-payment amount varies according to your state. The table below shows the highest (ceiling) and lowest (floor) expected co-payment across the country. If you do not have Medicare Part B or do not meet the requirements needed for coverage, you can find this product at pharmacies and medical supply stores.
