CRUCIAL® is a nutrition enteral medical food. INTENDED USES: Crucial Formulated for immune support of critically ill patients. Designed to support healing of Stages III or IV pressure ulcers, or nonhealing wounds. CLAIMED FEATURES: Peptide-based for improved nitrogen absorption and ulilization. 15 g of arginine/1,000 mL to support healing. Lipid blend includes marine oil and MCT oil to support immune function and tolerance. Elevated levels of key micronutrients associated with wound healing. For complete elemental nutrition for immune support, wound healing and critical illness; as well as trauma, hypermetabolism, head injury, elective surgery, major surgery, burns, chronic pressure ulcers, dual feeding with TPN, and complete or supplemental tube feeding.
