Why perform a risk assessment specific to your facility?

Around 80% of fires in hyperbaric chambers occur due to the presence of prohibited items in the chamber.[1] The Go/No-Go Tool is intended to facilitate evaluation and documentation of the process for effectively managing patients wound care dressing(s) and/ or product(s) during hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Each hyperbaric program is subject to its own set of risks. The risk assessment algorithm helps safety directors analyze risks inherent to their program/facility.

This public repository and the "Go-No-Go Lists / Prohibited Items" have been reviewed by our editorial team, but cannot be generalized to other facilities. It's highly recommended that Safety Directors perform their own risk assessment and use the repository strictly as reference, and not as a final determination.
