What's new?

Advances in Skin & Wound Care published updates on our study on implementation of the WoundReference Digital Formulary Module at Newton Medical Center Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center. Updated results showed a 36% decrease in the number of products utilized by the facility (67 to 43 across 22 types), 38.73% decrease in the monthly average dollar spent on chargeable products, 29.56% decrease in the average dollar amount spent on chargeable products per patient visit, and increased staff efficiency.

Earlier, Today's Wound Clinic featured our video on how the Newton Medical Center Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center leveraged WoundReference's Formulary Module and the Product Navigator to streamline their local wound formulary, leading to cost-effective practices and increased staff efficiency.

The WoundReference Team also published a paper entitled "Streamlining the Development and Maintenance of a Local Wound Care Formulary" on Today's Wound Clinic (special edition on Dressing Formulary). The article highlights the importance of developing a local wound care formulary, and lists steps/resources that clinicians can leverage in order to streamline development and maintenance of local formularies. For more information on how to set up your digital formulary with WoundReference see the blog post "How to set up and optimize your wound care formulary

Benefits of using the WoundReference Digital Formulary Module

The WoundReference Digital Formulary Module streamlines creation and maintenance of local wound care formularies. Facilities can complete implementation of their digital formulary in less than a month, depending on the size of the institution. Besides saving time in this often laborious project, WoundReference Digital Formulary Module promotes staff education, facilitates collaboration among partnering institutions, and can be easily updated/maintained.
