Sanjay Sharma's Background

Dr Sanjay Sharma has over 16 years’ experience in providing health care for the masses. He completed his Masters in General Surgery and pursued his further studies in Podiatric Surgery in India and US. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, (IIM) Bangalore, and University of California, Berkeley. He has completed MDP programs in Health Management, Hospital Administration, Health Economics from IIM Ahmedabad and AIIMS - New Delhi and World Bank respectively.

Sanjay is the Founder of Apta FootSecure and Yostra Labs Pvt. Ltd. He has also invested in PeopleHealth and Mediknit. Sanjay is also on the advisory board of various Healthtech startups and Public Companies. He has contributed to several patents in Telemedicine, Diabetic Foot and Wound Care domains. A few of his inventions are in the market today.

He was the Treasurer & Joint Secretary of Telemedicine Society of India; and presently the Secretary of Indian Podiatry Association, Karnataka Chapter and Mentor at NSRCEL, IIMB.

In December 2019, Sanjay was felicitated as the "Rising Star" in the Times Healthcare Achievers Awards, instituted by the Times Group and Govt. of Karnataka.

Dr Sharma is one of the few Podiatric Surgeons practising in India, and his main field of work is in Diabetic Foot Wound Management and Sports Injuries in the Foot. Dr Sanjay has trained more than 3000 people as a Staff and Volunteer at Landmark Education, between 1997 and 2003. He has also trained more than 500 doctors in Diabetic Wound Management / Debridement. He is an avid traveller, trekker and theatre artist.
