About Indiana University School of Medicine
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) combines the extensive resources of the state’s two largest universities in a vibrant urban setting. As a result of this unique partnership, IUPUI offers a particularly wide breadth of academics, including more than 250 degree programs. Research is a key component of IUPUI’s academics. The university has many internally funded grants for graduate research, as well as several opportunities for undergraduates through the Center for Research and Learning. It also permeates student life, through experiential programs like RISE and AMPATH. IUPUI’s admissions are based primarily on your academic record. This is determined by your high school or college transcripts and standardized test scores. The fall term application deadline is May 1 for incoming undergraduates. Admissions deadlines for graduate programs vary by school. Financial aid is available for undergraduate and graduate students at IUPUI. Much of this assistance is need-based, so make sure to file the FAFSA by the priority deadline of March 10.
