Membrane Graft and Membrane Wrap are Human amniotic allograft membranes.

INTENDED USES: Used to repair tissue deficits and to reduce healing time for chronic wounds and post-surgical wounds. The patient population for use of the products includes children and adults suffering from non-healing acute and chronic wounds (diabetic, venous, mixed, venous-arterial, pressure ulcers), complex and /or open surgical wounds and burns.

CLAIMED BENEFITS: The Dual-Layers (amnion/amnion) provide the physician options for application; it can be sutured and/or stapled, depending on the physician’s discretion; Procedures are efficient and do not require special instrumentation; BioLab Membrane Wrap is immune-privileged which allows it to survive for extended periods of time without rejection occurring; Five-year shelf life makes it convenient for the physician and the product will not expire quickly.

The addition of Skin Substitutes or Cellular or Tissue Based Products (CTPs) to certain wounds may afford a healing advantage over dressings and conservative treatments when these options appear insufficient to affect complete healing, after at least a 30 day period of comprehensive conservative therapy. There are currently a wide variety of bioengineered products available for soft tissue coverage to affect closure. • Human skin allografts are derived from donated human skin (cadavers) • Allogeneic matrices are derived from human tissue (fibroblasts or membrane) • Composite matrices are derived from human keratinocytes, fibroblasts and xenogeneic collagen • Acellular matrices are derived from xenogeneic collagen or tissue
