Norco™ Elbow/Heel Protector, Gel Pa

Norco Heel/Elbow Protectors is a heel/elbow protector. INTENDED USES: Protect the elbow and/or heel from pressure sores or skin ulceration due to shearing forces. CLAIMED FEATURES: Available in two padding styles. Offers excellent skin aeration and is ideal for intermittent use. The Foam Elbow/Heel Protector has a sewn-in foam pad that measures 6" (15cm) in diameter. The Gel Elbow/Heel Protector has a removable, shock-absorbing gel pad that measures 3-1/2" x 6-1/4" (8.9 x 16cm). Sleeves are machine washable. Remove gel pad prior to washing. Air dry. These products do not contain natural rubber latex. Sold in pairs.To size, measure circumference at heel or elbow crease. If measurement falls in between sizes, order the larger size. OPTIONS: Gel Pad. NC58800-2: Medium 9” - 11” (23cm - 28cm) 17" (43cm), Blue. NC58800-3: Large 11” - 13” (28cm - 33cm) 19" (48cm), Green. NC58800-4: X-Large 13” - 15" (33cm - 38cm) 20" (51cm), Red.

Product Information

If a person cannot easily move without help and stays in bed for long periods of time, heel or elbow protectors can be used to help prevent or treat pressure ulcers/injuries (bed sores). However, in addition to using elbow or heel protectors, to effectively prevent pressure ulcers/injuries, persons with no mobility need to have their position changed at least every 4 hours.
