Multidex® Gel, ¼ fl. oz., 30/Cs

Multidex® Gel is a hydrophilic wound dressing. INTENDED USES: For all types of wounds, including dermal ulcers (e.g., leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and other secreting lesions), diabetic ulcers, abdominal wounds, infected wounds, superficial wounds, lacerations, cuts, abrasions, donor sites and second-degree burns. Multidex Gel is indicated for moist to dry wounds. CLAIMED FEATURES: Helps maintain a moist environment beneficial for the growth of granulation tissue and epithelial proliferation. Controls odors while decreasing the amount of purulent exudate. Gel softens necrotic tissue to aid in the debridement process. Effective on infected and non-infected wounds. Quickly penetrates all wound irregularities. Non-toxic and not absorbed systemically. Gel protects against wound dehydration. OPTIONS: ¼ fl. oz., 30/Cs

Wound fillers are dressing materials placed into open wounds to eliminate dead space, absorb exudate, or maintain a moist wound surface. Wound fillers come in hydrated forms (e.g., pastes, gels), dry forms (e.g., powder, granules, beads), or other forms such as rope, spiral, pillows, etc.
