TRITEC is a wound contact layer dressing. INTENDED USES: For low to highly exuding acute and chronic wounds such as partial-thickness burns, incisions, skin grafts, donor sites, lacerations, abrasions, stage II-IV pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, and diabetic ulcers. CLAIMED FEATURES: TRITEC™ and TRITEC™ Silver wound dressings feature the patented Active Fluid Management® technology. A key attribute of the TRITEC design is the hydrophilicity of each layer. Because the Transfer Layer is more hydrophilic than the Protection Layer, exudate will migrate vertically through each layer and away from the wound bed. OPTIONS: 4" X 5"

Product Information

Contact layer dressings are thin, non-adherent sheets placed on the entire wound to prevent adhesion of the overlying dressing to the wound. They are porous and allow the fluid that comes from the wound to be absorbed by the overlying dressing. They are not meant to be changed with every dressing change and can be left in place for a week. Because they are designed to be non-adherent and skin-friendly, a wound contact layer is ideally suited for wounds where the skin tissue surrounding the wound bed is fragile. They are indicated for moderate to heavily exuding wounds.
