ADAPTIC TOUCH™ Non-Adhering Silicone Dressing is a flexible, non-adherent silicone wound contact layer.
INTENDED USES: It is designed as a primary wound contact layer for use in the management of dry to heavily exuding, partial and full-thickness chronic wounds including: venous ulcers, decubitus (pressure) ulcers, diabetic ulcers, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds, donor sites, 1st and 2nd degree burns
CLAIMED FEATURES: In a series of international case studies, ADAPTIC TOUCH™ Dressing was used as an alternative to traditional wound contact layers under V.A.C.® Therapy to protect fragile wound structures and benefit patients with a range of wound types. Over the course of those treatments, clinicians reported that ADAPTIC TOUCH™ Dressing was easy to use and remove, did not adhere, and did not cause patients pain during use or upon removal.

Product Information

Contact layer dressings are thin, non-adherent sheets placed on the entire wound to prevent adhesion of the overlying dressing to the wound. They are porous and allow the fluid that comes from the wound to be absorbed by the overlying dressing. They are not meant to be changed with every dressing change and can be left in place for a week.  Because they are designed to be non-adherent and skin-friendly, a wound contact layer is ideally suited for wounds where the skin tissue surrounding the wound bed is fragile. They are indicated for moderate to heavily exuding wounds.
