Medigrip™ Elasticated Tubular Support Bandage is a tubular dressing. INTENDED USES: Designed to secure dressings, provide support for joints and, when doubled, deliver mild compression. For edema, treatment of chronic venous insufficiency, dislocations, sprains and hypertrophic scarring CLAIMED FEATURES: Provides support for joints. Easy to apply and reapply. Wide range of applications. Secures dressings. Can be used as mild compression when doubled. Contraindicated for patients with a known sensitivity to latex. May be left in place for 7 days. Dressing change frequency will depend on amount of drainage. OPTIONS: Sz B 2-1/2"Wx 11yd, 1/BX

Product Information

Compression therapy can be applied through compression bandages, gradient compression stockings, gradient compression wraps, and tubular dressings. These devices address the cause of venous ulcers, by helping blood to return to the heart from the legs.

Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) covers tubular dressings when considered medically necessary for treatment of a surgical or surgically treated wound. Medicare has guidelines that establish what is considered medically necessary and how often an item can be used.

If you have coverage through Medicare Part B, you may be eligible to have this product covered by Medicare. You will need a written order prescribed by a provider enrolled in Medicare, so that you can purchase this product at a Durable Medical Equipment store that accepts Medicare. You will need to pay deductibles and co-payment. The actual co-payment amount varies according to your state.
