Artacent Wound is an amniotic patch (allogeneic matrix).
INTENDED USES: It is used for the treatment of chronic wounds such as diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, and burns.
CLAIMED FEATURES: it is a wound-specific amniotic patch that can be applied with either side facing the wound. Amniotic tissues are safe, natural biologic barriers, with native membranes supplying a wide array of growth factors. The unique design of Artacent Wound allows for easy manipulation and repositioning, making it a flexible option for a variety of wound covering applications. Artacleanse™process safely and effectively cleans, decellularizes, and preserves the healing properties of amniotic tissues.

The addition of Skin Substitutes or Cellular or Tissue Based Products (CTPs) to certain wounds may afford a healing advantage over dressings and conservative treatments when these options appear insufficient to affect complete healing, after at least a 30 day period of comprehensive conservative therapy.
