Hi Amanda

Thanks for your question. Coban is manufactured by 3M and the Curity brand is commercialized by Cardinal Health but the Curity brand only includes stretch bandages (conforming), Unna Boot Bandage, Packing Strips, non-adhering gauzes, woven dressings, etc - so maybe the question was related to 3M™ Coban™ 2 Layer and 2 Layer Lite Compression Systems or to the Cardinal Compression Bandage Systems?

For patients with ABI > 0.5, modified compression level (20-30 mmHg) is recommended by clinical guidelines. Please refer to WoundReference topics "How to Select Adequate Compression Therapy Pressure Levels and Products" [1] and "Compression Brands Quick Reference" [2]

Regarding the compression systems mentioned above:
- 3M™ Coban™ 2 Lite Two-Layer Compression System provides modified lite compression (25-30 mmHg) and is indicated for patients with ABPI greater than or equal to 0.5 [3]
- As for the Cardinal Compression Bandage Systems, according to the manufacturer: three-layer compression bandage system may be used with patients with an ABI greater than or equal to 0.6. Four-layer compression bandage system may be used for patients with an ABI greater than 0.8 [4]

Also, it'd be important to check with your organization and see which brands are available in your formulary.

Hope this helps!
