I would cover with just a mepilex border dressing change ever 3-5 days or a medihoney HCS dressing with an adhesive border. Change every 3-5 days. Medihoney HCS can be purchased over the counter at CVS under the CVS brand name. Either of these dressings will heal the wound and keep the right amount of moisture for healing. If taking a shower cover dressing with plastic and tape In place so dressing doesn't get wet. May shower on the day to change without dressing in place. Medihoney HCS can minimize scarring as well.

Knees are tough spots to dress! I'm a minimalist, and the wound appears to be near completely epithelilized--I might recommend a humectant/emollient. Elta moisturizers is great but most drug stores carry aquaphor. I would clean normally in the shower allowing water to run over, pat dry, apply aquaphor or equivalent.

Thanks for the help, I will use the Medihoney HCS for a few more days to minimize scarring and then go minimalist!
